OCTO implants are manufactured in two different types depending on the bone quality. V-thread implants should be preferred in the Type 1 or Type 2 hard bone structure, square-thread implants should be preferred in Type 3 or Type 4 relatively softer bone structures (Fig. 14). V-thread implants used in the hard bone structure are inserted without the necessity of tapping procedure by virtue of apical self- thread characteristic.
