An impression is taken from the mouth after the abutment is fixed permanently in to the implant. Then, the abutment is not removed from the mouth. Prosthetic procedures are made in the laboratory in two ways; The first way is obtaining a conventional gypsium laboratory model from the impression taken from the mouth. Then, the conventional crown-bridge work procedures would be applied. The second way is using an extra abutment connected to an analog, which is inserted in to the impression so a transfer model would be obtained. The abutment remained in the mouth would preferably be fixed permanently and then a temporary fixed restoration is inserted on this.<\/p>\n
Before the transfer of the OCTO implants to the laboratory, an acrylic transfer guide for abutments (acrylic index) is made from acrylic pattern resin on the abutments in order to determine the exact positions of the implants within the mouth By virtue of this acrylic guide the abutments that can rotate 360 degrees are transferred to the gypsum model without impairing their positions . While elastomer impression is taken for transfer of the abutments connected to the implants, an acrylic resin transfer quide should be left on the abutments connected to the implants for precision. \u0130n this case plastic abutment copings are not used.<\/p>\n
After the abutments are transferred to the gypsum model, they are prepared by the technician for parallel contours. After the preparation for parallelism the technician should remake or correct the acrylic guide.<\/p>\n
After parallelization are ensured with straight and angled abutments in the mouth an impression is taken from the mouth after fixing the abutments to the implants.<\/p>\n
Then, temporary and permanent fixed cemented restorations can be made with conventional prosthetic methods. One of the following options are applied for the temporary restoration<\/p>\n
